Hi all, hope you are well.  I have attached the presentation from last nights league forum meeting to give you some information on what the return to football will look like.  There is a club forum on Friday night so it would be useful if club reps can attend that one.

Spectators were discussed and the rule is strictly none at adult football and 1 parent or carer for safeguarding purposes for youth games.  I asked the question about parents/carers needing to bring siblings to games/training in order for the playing child to participate ie, if there were no other alternatives - please note this is for parents/carers of youth players only.  The FA is getting back to me on that and I will pass on when I have the info.  The current rules on spectators are maybe only in place until the 12th of April so it could be just for a couple of weeks.

As you will see from the presentation there is no hospitality allowed until at least the 12th of April - this includes outdoor hospitality, tuck shops etc.

A couple of things that I also wanted to pass on to you:

I have now finished setting up the first round games for our cup/shield competition.  All fixtures are now in place and Richard and Dave will be working on appointing referees over the next few days.  Please let me know if you see any errors or duplicates with the fixtures - it was a very long day yesterday!

Dual registered players can play for a different club at a different age group in the competition ie U18/open age but cannot play for the same age group.

Any players with suspensions that are still to be served can use the cup/shield matches for these as they are a league organised competition, however any friendlies and tournament games will not count towards the suspension.  I will be updating the suspension information on fulltime in the upcoming days.

As previously discussed, all players are signed to their clubs until the end of June now - this means they cannot play friendlies or in tournaments for any other club.

We have had a few requests from teams to deregister players for various reasons - shielding, not wishing to return just yet, lost interest etc which would then allow the team make space to sign new players if they come along.  At the minute we have kept our deregistration/transfer date to the 28th of February and signing new players date as the 31st of March.  Taking the above into account, we are proposing to extend the signing, deregistration and transfer date until the 7th of April - this will allow teams to get back to training and get their players sorted before the first round games take place - after that date there will be no further deregistration and transfer of players and no signing of new players without committee approval (this would be allowed in very extreme circumstances and only if the team have spaces).  If anyone has any objections to this please let me know by tomorrow at the latest, if not we will open this up from Saturday the 27th of March until Wednesday the 7th of April - this will give registrars time to process the players in time for the games on the 10th/11th.

And as a last note, some of you may have seen that the FA McDonalds awards are now open for this years nominations, this is the link to nominate.  There are various categories for youth coaches, adult coaches, grounds team, referees and league of the year - please feel free to nominate us!  The FA and McDonald's Grassroots Football Awards

Good luck to all the teams who are playing in the cup/shield competition, we look forward to seeing some great games of football. Please be mindful that as the teams were randomly drawn there will be some mixed ability in the groups.  This is a way back to football for everyone so please ensure it is an enjoyable experience for all, stupidly high scores are not want we want to see, they do not benefit anyone!!  Please ensure you manage the games accordingly.

Many thanks to everyone for their patience this year, it's been very trying at times but we are hoping for some better news over the upcoming months and getting back to a normal season of football next year!
