Playing Formats and Pitch Sizes

I have had some queries about pitch sizes which can be found on page 25 of the league handbook - the handbook can be found under League Documents. These are recommended sizes but should be adhered to where possible.

Just a point to note - in the Women and Girls League the U11's are 7v7 format and should play on MINI SOCCER pitches - the maximum size shown in the handbook is for when teams play 9v9 format. - FA rules are the same for all Youth Competitions and some play the maximum allowed which is 9v9.

Our league formats are as follows:

1. U9's 5v5 - this can be increased to 6v6 or 7v7 if BOTH teams agree - 12x6 nets - NO LARGER SIZED TEAMS
2. U10/11 7v7 - mini soccer pitches and 12x6 nets
3. U12/13 9v9 - 9v9 pitches and 16x7 nets
4. U14 -Open Age 11v11 - see pitch and net sizes in the league documents section as these are different for each age group even though the format is the same.
